As a Moms Meet blogger, I was recently given the opportunity to try out two new smoothies from Jamba Juice.
The new Tropical Harvest smoothie from the regular menu and the new Jamba Kids Berry Beet It! Smoothie from the kids menu.
The kids and I went to Jamba Juice and ordered our smoothies. If you ask, Jamba Juice will split one smoothie into two cups for the kids.
The new Tropical Harvest Smoothie is made with mangos, peaches, and passion fruit juice blended with juices from butternut squash, sweet potato and carrot. It is dairy-free and gluten-free with only 230 calories.
The Jamba Kids Berry Beet It! Smoothie is made with strawberries, mangos, bananas, and mixed berry juice with carrots, beets, broccoli, spinach, kale, and lettuce. It’s also dairy and gluten free with only 190 calories.
I know what you’re thinking when you read the descriptions of the smoothies because I thought the same thing: there’s no way that my kids are going to drink a smoothie with carrots, beets, broccoli, spinach, kale, and lettuce.
But you know what? You can’t taste any vegetables in either smoothie. They were both sweet, smooth, and delicious. And my kids loved them. Jaden gave the Kids Berry Beet It Smoothie two thumbs up.
Both kids finished their whole smoothie and then asked to drink some of mine.
The Tropical Harvest smoothie was also excellent. Very fruity tasting. I was a little nervous to taste the kid’s smoothie after my experience with the beet juice from my juice cleanse, but I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted it – it was delicious.
Both smoothies were something that I would order again. They are a great way to get your kids to eat their veggies, and a great way to get extra veggies in your own diet. The sweetness from the fruit overpowers the taste of the smoothie, so you don’t even know you’re drinking veggies.
I didn’t tell the kids what was in the smoothie beforehand and had them guess what flavors they tasted. They both said strawberries and raspberries (there were no raspberries in it though) and neither of them guessed there were any veggies in it.
Definitely some delicious new smoothies from Jamba Juice! To learn more about Jamba Juice’s new smoothies, check out their Facebook page.
